Asian Classical Music in MP3 Format
Introduction and Disclaimer
The music on these web pages is all from recordings, most often cassettes, that are either out of print, only available in the country of origin, or both.
In most cases, they appear here with the gracious permission of
either the artists or the recording companies. Sometimes, if I am
unable to locate anyone involved, I have made them available assuming that there
is nobody who would object. If you have any direct knowledge that someone's rights are being infringed, I will delete those songs from the server. Please contact me if there are any legal issues at:
my email address.
The original recordings were often less than optimal. I have improved the sound as much as I can with noise reduction software, but it can never achieve "CD" quality. They have been encoded primarily in variable bitrate to get the best sound for the file size.
These files are often quite large because I chose to encode them at higher
quality settings.
